LEGAL EXPERIENCE

Make Right Law, Santa Fe, NM Associate (May 2025 – June 2026)

• I worked civil torts cases involving contract disputes, negligence, and personal injury from intake to trial preparation in state and federal court. I defended expert and client depositions, participated in mediations, successfully defeated motions for dismissal, summary judgment, and improper discovery demands.
• I oversaw FEMA claims appeals and participated in negotiations with FEMA legal counsel on behalf of claimants concerning legal administration of the Hermit’s Peak and Calf Canyon Fire Act. I represented a water association in protest of commercial use in water scarce areas.
• I litigated mass torts fire claims including high volume motions practice and defending high frequency depositions.

New Mexico Department of Justice, Santa Fe, NM Assistant Attorney General - Consumer Protection Bureau (March 2025 – April 2025)

• I investigated consumer complaints, developed cases and filed Complaints, and negotiated restitution for price-gouging and civil fraud. I drafted and served Civil Investigative Demands, participated in mass discovery review, and negotiated Assurances of Discontinuance.
• I worked with the FTC and state Attorneys General in litigation resulting in a successful preliminary injunction of the proposed Kroger and Albertsons merger. I worked with NMDOJ antitrust attorneys to investigate price fixing.
• I reviewed potential legislation for legal issues and provided guidance to the legislature. I investigated and drafted proposals for new litigation priorities.

Buchanan Law Firm, Albuquerque, NM Associate (October 2023 – January 2024) | Law Clerk (June 2023 – October 2023)

• I moved Plaintiff trucking, personal injury, and employment cases from intake to resolution including client interviews, drafting and filing pleadings, discovery, motions practice, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation in state and federal court.
• I researched and advised on issues encompassing evidentiary disputes, insurance bad faith, and Rule 11 sanctions.
